Business failure after 5 years

I think I’m saying nothing new by observing that the mortality rate of new businesses in any sector is very high.

A research carried out in July 2013 and published on Statistic Brain reports that the percentage of start-ups failing after X years (not only in the digital sector) is:

–         25% within the first year

–         36% within the second year

–         44% within the third year

As follows, divided according to their sector, you can see a graph on American companies which successfully went through the first five years of life.
